En noviembre pasado, Alan Pereira, un joven de 18 años originario de Antofagasta, sorprendió a todos durante su participación en la Teletón. Con su actuación junto a Illapu, deslumbró al público bailando caporal en la Quinta Vergara, una danza que encapsula la energía y la pasión de la cultura boliviana.
A pesar de su condición de mielomeningocele, una malformación del sistema nervioso que afecta su movilidad, Alan mostró una admirable determinación al bailar en su silla de ruedas. Su actuación fue un testimonio de superación y talento, brillando en el escenario junto a otros miembros de la Agrupación Reales Brillantes de Antofagasta, quienes también fueron invitados por Illapu a participar.
Ahora, el escenario se amplía aún más, ya que Alan se prepara para el Carnaval Con la Fuerza del Sol de Arica, el carnaval andino más grande de Chile. El joven relató cómo el caporal llegó a su vida en 2023 a través de una tradición escolar, y cómo el video de su presentación se volvió viral en TikTok, algo que jamás imaginó. “Llegué al caporal gracias al colegio. En mi escuela, hay una tradición: en tercero medio se baila caporal todos los años. El año pasado me tocó a mí, así que estuvimos todo el año preparando el show”, compartió.
El proceso de preparación duró ocho meses. En septiembre, presentaron la coreografía en su centro educativo y publicaron los videos en redes sociales, los cuales rápidamente conquistaron a los usuarios de internet. Finalmente, en noviembre, Alan recibió la invitación para participar en la Teletón.
Durante la preparación de la coreografía, llegó la invitación de la reconocida agrupación Reales Brillantes. Diego, el coreógrafo que los preparó, lo invitó a unirse a la filial en Antofagasta, que viaja cada año a la ciudad de la eterna primavera para el Carnaval Con la Fuerza del Sol, un evento muy esperado tanto por los ariqueños como por bailarines de todo el país.
«Es mi primer carnaval en Arica, y estoy muy emocionado», expresa Alan, quien se unió a la agrupación hace un año y ha estado ensayando para este gran evento.
